Our new TNB and Uniten
Chairman, Datuk JJ, decided that our College of Business Management is
to be relocated to Bandar Muadzam Shah, with the new 1st year intake to
begin this June 2001.
We had to make a site visit on 9 Mar 2001 to survey the office
buildings and surrounding area to draw up our plans to setup computing
infrastructure and equipment.
Over forty Uniten staff went for the visit, in a bus which took about
3 ½ hours to travel there.
Bandar Muadzam Shah is right smack in the middle of nowhere, and is
situated near the border of Pahang and Johor. Surrounded by coconut palm
estates, this is a nicely planned township with all the basic facilities
in operation. Unfortunately, it has no life (day or night) and is pretty
boring. It doesn't even have a MacDonalds or KFC.
